After impressing everyone with their acting chops in a 2019 drama, Kill It, Jang Ki Yong and Roh Jeong Eui are in talks to reunite once again for a webtoon-based drama, Pig Pen.
According to Star News on May 24, actors Jang Ki Yong and Roh Jeong Eui will star in a new drama called Pig Pen, based on a webtoon by Kim Carnby, who is known for his thrilling writing style in Sweet Home and Bastard. Besides them, Cha Seung Won has also been reportedly cast for the drama.
Pig Pen follows the story of a man who is stranded on a remote island with no memory of who he is or how he got there. He discovers a strange, old-fashioned mansion on the island that seems out of place.
As he tries to escape the mysterious family living in the mansion, who seem to be threatening his life, his memories start to return. However as his memories come back, they contradict each other, and he must navigate the conflicting truths to survive and take control of the island.
The upcoming drama Pig Pen will be directed by Kim Sang Man, who also helmed the Netflix original film Jeon, Ran, slated for release later this year. He is also known for directing Midnight FM, Uprising, and Bloody Tie.
The project is currently in talks for OTT distribution and will be co-produced by Studio N and Impetus Pictures.
On another note, Jang Ki Yong is currently starring in the JTBC drama The Atypical Family, while Roh Jeong Eui is set to appear in the upcoming Netflix series Hierarchy, which is scheduled to premiere on June 7.
