Yang Mi, the actor who recently established her one-person agency, is going above and beyond in taking care of her employees.
She’s providing unprecedented welfare benefits, including giving out year-end bonuses of tens of millions of won. Her actions have earned her the reputation of being a ‘dream boss’ among office workers.
According to a report from the foreign media outlet China Daily on February 29 (local time), actor Yang Mi went all out in supporting her agency’s employees. Not only did she provide generous year-end bonuses, but she also supported overseas travel.
In 2012, Yang Mi made headlines for her kindness. As she was getting ready to travel from Hong Kong to attend a prestigious event for her luxury brand Christian Dior, an unfortunate incident occurred. Her passport was lost by an employee of her agency, causing a major disruption to her schedule.
Despite facing the possibility of a hefty penalty, Yang Mi chose not to hold her employees responsible. Instead, she took the responsibility upon herself, telling the brand officials that she had lost the passport.
Yang Mi is not only known for her care towards her employees but also for her affection towards junior actors.
The Chinese public has responded positively to Yang Mi agency’s generous welfare benefits, with comments like “All of Yang Mi’s staff are dressed in clothes from the luxury brand Loewe,” “She is truly an exceptional CEO,” and “Office workers wish they had a boss like Yang Mi.”
Yang Mi is a global ambassador for the luxury brand Loewe and is actively involved as a model for various brands such as Pepsi, Victoria’s Secret, and Hyundai Sonata.
After parting ways with Jiaxing Media (Jay Walk Studios), she has established her own agency to pursue solo activities.
