NewJeans won top honors at Billboard Women in Music in 2024. This year, aespa and Jennie will be recognized for their outstanding contributions.
On February 13 (Korean time), Billboard announced the winners of its Women in Music 2025, a well-known music awards ceremony.
aespa will receive the “Group of the Year” award, while BLACKPINK’s Jennie will take home the “Global Force Award”.

The Billboard Women in Music event is an annual celebration that honors the accomplishments of women in the music industry. This prestigious event recognizes female artists, creators, producers, and executives who have made significant contributions to the industry over the past year.
Previously, Jennie charted on Billboard HOT 100 for 2 consecutive weeks with the single “Mantra”, dropped last October. She recently entered the chart again with the single “Love Hangover” at No. 96. The BLACKPINK member is now gearing up for her first solo full-length album “Ruby”, out March 7.
It is no secret that 2024 was most certainly aespa’s year. The group made waves with their song “Supernova” and dominated the charts for months. They won multiple Daesangs (Grand Prizes) at domestic year-end award ceremonies.
While they have yet to enter the HOT 100, their 2024 albums “Armageddon” and “Whiplash” debuted at #25 and #50 on the Billboard 200.
Last year, NewJeans was awarded “Group of the Year” for their outstanding contributions, and they attended the award ceremony.
Lastly, the Billboard Women in Music 2025 ceremony is scheduled to take place on March 30 at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles.
