aespa will return with a new mini album titled Rich Man, set for release in September 2025, according to SM Entertainment.
The teaser, released on August 4 at midnight, features the quote, “I am enough as I am. I am a rich man,” hinting at a theme centered on self-worth and confidence.
The quote, often linked to Cher, has sparked debate among fans. Some see it as a fresh direction for the four-member group, while others are curious whether it is a full departure from their long-running Kwangya concept.
aespa will drop their 6th mini-album, Rich Man, on major music platforms on September 5 at 1 PM KST.
aespa has stayed active throughout 2025. They concluded their world tour, ‘SYNK: Parallel Line’ earlier this year and are now set to kick off their world tour, ‘SYNK: aexis Line.’
On June 27, they released the single album Dirty Work, which sold nearly 1 million copies in its first week and topped South Korea’s physical album charts. The song was followed by a remix album, Dirty Work (Remixes), released on June 30, featuring U.S. rapper Flo Milli and producers Arkins and RayRay.
In July, aespa dropped Dark Arts, a digital single made in collaboration with PUBG Battlegrounds. While not promoted on music shows, the track gained attention online and added to the group’s list of successful tie-ins with gaming platforms.
Previously, member Winter accidentally revealed the title weeks ago during a live stream, where she mentioned rehearsing a song called “Rich Man.” aespa is releasing a new mini-album 11 months after the release of their 5th EP, Whiplash, which sold over 900K copies in the first week and debuted at No. 50 on the Billboard 200.
Meanwhile, aespa is set to drop Rich Man on September 5, shortly after kicking off their world tour SYNK: AEXIS Line in Seoul from August 29 to 31.
They will open the Japan leg of the world tour in October, with the final shows in Osaka on November 26-27.
