After THE BOYZ’s Sunwoo, aespa’s Karina is the next K-pop star to step into the acting world through Mnet’s My ARTi FILM.
This year, it will be her second project outside of music after appearing in Netflix’s variety show, Agents of Mystery.
On August 8, Mnet’s ‘MY ARTi FILM’ unveiled an updated lineup, confirming the addition of Karina to the program.
Karina takes on a new challenge with ‘MY ARTi FILM’, starring in a gripping noir action film. She plays a bold and fearless ‘girl crush’ character who dares to confront the leader of a powerful organization. This new role promises to reveal a fresh side of the aespa leader, one that differs from her stage persona.
Regarding her leading role in Mnet’s new project, she shared her excitement saying, “It was fun to be able to experience something different by becoming the leading character in a noir action film that I enjoy watching.”
MY ARTi FILM is a special series where K-POP artists become the stars of their own short movies. Each episode features a different artist, showcasing their acting skills in a unique blend of music, drama, and film.
