Just when we thought we’d seen all of Jungkook’s famous tattoos, the BTS star gave fans another sneaky peek during j-hope’s recent Seoul concert. On June 13 – BTS’ big 12th anniversary – sharp-eyed ARMYs spotted what looks like fresh ink peeking out from under his performance outfit.
That right arm of his is becoming quite the art gallery. While we didn’t get a full reveal, the brief glimpse was enough to get the fans talking. Is it an extension of his sleeve? Something completely new? Knowing the Maknae, there’s probably a meaningful story behind it.
Jungkook tattoo collection has always been a fan favorite – from his iconic “ARMY” knuckles to that sweet little purple heart. Now we’re all waiting to see if he’ll show off this latest addition properly.
Jungkook Tattoos – From First Ink to Full Sleeve
Jungkook got his first tattoo, “ARMY”, on his right hand to show his love for BTS’s fans. He said in a Weverse Live in February 2023, “ARMY, to me, is what I’m confident about… It still remains the same now. What I’m so proud of.”
The small, subtle design has since evolved into an elaborate collection of body art.
ARMY & The Crown
The “ARMY” tattoo on his knuckles is accompanied by a small crown above the letter “A.” Jungkook explained that he placed the crown there because, “ARMY starts with ‘A,’ so I put a crown on top!”
The 27-year-old pop star intentionally got his “ARMY” tattoo on his knuckles, explaining, “It just made no sense to put ARMY in a place you can’t see it.”
There is also an ARMY logo on his hand. Nearby, a purple heart represents his love for ARMY, though he humorously admitted the color faded over time, saying, “It kind of changed into a bruise color… I think I’ll retouch it to a really bright purple.”

BTS Debut Date and The “7” Tattoo
One of his most sentimental tattoos is “0613”—the date BTS debuted (June 13, 2013). He revealed this tattoo during a live session, saying, “You all know this, right? You know it.”
Like all BTS members, Jungkook has a “7” tattoo. His is placed behind his ear.
Birth Time & Seoul Arrival
The “Standing Next To You” singer has a clock and the date he arrived in Seoul tatted on his arm.
A detailed pocket watch marks his birth time (around 3:23–3:25 AM), connected to a microphone and musical note. He explained the connection between his birthdate, mic, and the musical note, saying, “So, I wanted to say something like, ‘I was destined to be a singer since birth!’”
June 4, 2011, the date he moved to Seoul to pursue his dreams, is inked alongside a skeleton hand.

Birth Flower & Hidden Messages
Jungkook also has a colored Tiger Lily tattoo, his birth flower (for September 1), with the phrase “Please love me” written behind it.
He also has a tattoo of “HYYH” (Hwayangyeonhwa), Chinese characters for “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life,” referencing BTS’s career-defining album trilogy.
Other tattoos include “Winner Never Quit” graffiti, a woozy face emoji, the word “Truth,” a colored hahoetal, Dancheong, and sayings like “Rather Be Dead Than Cool” and “Make Hay While The Sun Shines.”
Clouds & Moon
Jungkook explained during the Weverse livestream that getting the Clouds tattoo was painful. He made an impulsive decision when he was in the US
It was when I was abroad. I just found a tattoo shop and went. That person…That person (tattoo artist) and I weren’t on the same wavelength. It hurt so much.
He also plans to cover up the moon tattoo on his shoulder as it was a “failure” and “too troublesome.” The BTS star plans to cover it, but keeps delaying it because he is “lazy”.
Cover-Ups & Transformations

Jungkook has also been open about the tattoos he modified. He originally had an “eye” tattoo (meant to remind him people are always watching), but he changed it to “Bulletproof” after fan feedback. “Bulletproof is tied to BTS’s Korean name (Bangtan Sonyeondan).
So, in every situation, people are watching me. I think it was a tattoo with that thought in mind. So,… But people said it’s really whatever, so I changed it to “Bulletproof”. I changed it to Bangtan.
Jungkook also changed the geon (the three lines of the Korean flag) to a snake. He explained the reason, saying
But there were also a lot of people who did not like it! So… The snake… So, why did I change it to a snake? Snakes molt, right? And so, snakes have a meaning of growth. So I was like, “Oh! That’s nice!” So I got it done.
In addition, Jungkook changed the Korean tiger to a colorless sun. He also tatted the signature of POLYC, a famous tattoo artist who covered most of his tattoos.
Meanwhile, Jungkook was recently discharged from the military on June 11 and is now preparing to resume solo activities, as the BTS comeback has been pushed to early 2026.
