The 2025 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) unveiled their full list of nominees on August 5. Among this year’s top contenders are Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, Bruno Mars, Olivia Rodrigo, and Kendrick Lamar, who lead nominations in major categories like Video of the Year and Artist of the Year.
K-pop artists like BLACKPINK’s Rosé, Stray Kids, LE SSERAFIM, NewJeans, and ZEROBASEONE earned key nominations. This year marks the first time all four BLACKPINK members, Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa, have been nominated in the same category as soloists.
Last year, Lisa, SEVENTEEN, and LE SSERAFIM took home major trophies at the MTV VMAs.
Notably, Rosé made history as the first K-pop soloist to be nominated in 5+ categories, including general fields such as Video of the Year, Artist of the Year, and Best Pop for her collaboration with Bruno Mars on “APT.”
