ALPHA DRIVE ONE (ALD1) is picking up speed toward their much-awaited debut. As they move closer to their debut, they have revealed both their fandom name and group leader.
The announcement was made during an Instagram live broadcast on November 1, 2025. The eight members—Leo, Junseo, Arno, Geonwoo, Sangwon, Xinlong, Anxin, and Sanghyeon—shared the exciting updates with fans.
During the livestream, ALPHA DRIVE ONE unveiled their official fandom name, “ALLYZ.” This word carries a special meaning for both the group and their devoted fans. The name represents the group’s heartfelt wish to “always” be together with their fans.
The name wasn’t chosen by the company or ALPHA DRIVE ONE members alone. It was chosen by fans themselves through a global naming contest held shortly after the group’s formation. This fan-led process made the announcement even more meaningful.
Following the reveal, ALPHA DRIVE ONE also introduced Leo as the official leader of the group.
Leo shared his thoughts as he took on this new responsibility, saying, “I am grateful and honored to be entrusted with the important role of leader. I will do my best to carry out my responsibilities well and fulfill my role as the leader with a strong sense of duty.”
His fellow members were quick to show their support, saying, “We have complete faith in you.”
The livestream ended on a heartfelt note as the members shouted, “ALLYZ, you’re ours—and let’s be together!”
ALPHA DRIVE ONE fandom, ALLYZ, is already active globally. The official fan club is open for membership worldwide, which allows fans from every corner of the globe to join. The goal of ALPHA DRIVE ONE is to connect with Korean audiences and build an international community of fans.
Formed through the popular Mnet survival show “BOYS II PLANET,” ALPHA DRIVE ONE has been making headlines since their lineup was finalized. Their name, ALPHA stands for aiming for the top, DRIVE represents passion and motivation, and ONE signifies unity as a team.
Their official Instagram account surpassed one million followers in just a week. On the other hand, their TikTok and X (formerly Twitter) accounts also gained hundreds of thousands of followers within days. A short 11-second practice video posted by the group went viral and drew over 15 million views in only two days.
Meanwhile, ALPHA DRIVE ONE is set to perform at the 2025 MAMA Awards on November 28, where they will meet fans in person for the very first time.
