ASTRO has initiated legal proceedings against malicious online commenters following the release of their heartfelt tribute song, “Moon.” The track, featuring Moonbin’s younger sister Moon Sua, fellow members, and close friends, was released on the second anniversary (April 19) of the beloved singer’s passing as a gift to grieving fans.
However, the agency Fantagio and member Cha Eunwoo were accused of exploiting Moonbin’s memory for profit.
On April 23, the agency announced legal action against those spreading misinformation and false rumors via an official statement.

We are aware that malicious posts defaming ASTRO’s personality and damaging their reputation are spreading indiscriminately on social media, online communities, and other platforms.
We have been monitoring the situation cautiously because it is a sensitive issue, but we have decided that we can no longer tolerate the repeated malicious acts and are preparing to take strong legal action without leniency.
Using anonymity to spread false information or create malicious posts is a clear illegal act that goes beyond simple defamation.
We are continuously collecting data on malicious posts against our artists, and the tips you send us are a great help.

ll the proceeds from the memorial songs were donated to charity. AROHAs (ASTRO fandom) and Cha Eunwoo fans sent protest trucks to Fantagio to urge the agency to take action against perpetrators.
Fans have a mixed reaction to the statement and are furious since Cha Eunwoo was not mentioned, who is getting the most hate. “Eunwoo’s fans didn’t send trucks and protest wreaths for you to drop a generic template,” one fan wrote.
Other comments included “Cha Eunwoo is being overlooked in a statement for a protest that was meant to defend him solely”, “We need actions, not just words”, and more.
