BABYMONSTER, YG Entertainment’s new girl group, has smashed records with over 200 million views on YouTube for their debut song music video.

Batter Up broke BLACKPINK BOOMBAYAH’s 6-year record of reaching 200 million views in 370 days. BABYMONSTER’s debut MV reached the milestone in just 53 days.

At the time of release, The MV broke the record for the most views in 24 hours for a K-pop debut song with a whopping 22.59 million views in just one day. 

It also set records for reaching 50 million views in just 4 days and 100 million views in just 18 days. BATTER UP MV even topped the global YouTube daily music video chart for five straight days and ruled the weekly chart. 

BABYMONSTER is destined to be the next generation of YouTube Queens. Their official channel already has a massive 4.19 million subscribers and their videos have been viewed over 900 million times.

As soon as BATTER UP dropped, the song climbed to the top of the iTunes Song Charts in 21 countries and even reached the number one spot on the worldwide charts. 

Within just 8 days, it made its way onto the US Billboard Global 200 (101st) and Billboard Global (49th) charts. On Spotify, the biggest music platform out there, it became the fastest K-pop girl group debut song to surpass 10 million streams. 

BABYMONSTER is gearing up to release their second single, Stuck In The Middle, on February 1st.
