As a result, CIX will continue its activities as a 4-member group, with members BX, Seunghun, Yonghee, and Hyunsuk.

On August 5, C9 Entertainment officially announced his departure in a press release, stating, “Firstly, we have decided to terminate the exclusive contract with BAE JINYOUNG as of August 1, 2024. We express our gratitude to BAE JINYOUNG for his hard work as a member of CIX and ask for your continued support as he embarks on a new chapter.”

Regarding the group’s future activities, the label stated, “CIX will continue their activities with four members BX, SEUNGHUN, YONGHEE, and HYUNSUK.”

C9 Entertainment also shared details about the group’s upcoming comeback this year, “They are currently preparing for a new album to be released in the second half of the year, along with various performances.”

On August 4, it was reported by TenAsia that Bae Jin Young had decided to not move forward with the agency after contract expiration.

Bae Jin Young first gained fame as a member of Wanna One, but after the group disbanded in 2019, he launched a solo career with the single album Hard to Say Goodbye before eventually joining CIX. In addition, he made his acting debut with a web series, User Not Found, in 2021.
