The video was supposed to clear things up, but it backfired big time. Netizens think it did more harm than good. They slammed NewJeans, labeling them as an ‘object of adult fantasies’, alleging plagiarism from BLACKPINK and other groups.

This led to a huge backlash against the label, painting ILLIT and themselves in a negative way.

Many fans of NewJeans and other groups criticized the BELIFT LAB, leaving harsh comments. Soon, fans notice that BELIFT LAB is deleting comments criticizing their latest move.

On June 11, BELIFT LAB, stated in the comments of the recently released video that they have not removed any comments on the video about their position.

They mentioned that the label is not actively deleting specific comments, contrary to claims, and they are taking steps towards legal action against those spreading malicious comments.

This statement came after the video discussing the ILLIT-NewJeans plagiarism issue, posted the day before, sparked controversy.

Furthermore, BELIFT LAB announced that they would take legal action by filing another civil lawsuit. This action aimed to seek damages for the artists and members of BELIFT LAB who have been affected by the plagiarism issue and to hold CEO Min Hee Jin responsible.
