BE’O has found himself at the center of a heated dispute between his current agency, Big Planet Made Entertainment, and his former agency, FameUs Entertainment.
The controversy revolves around unpaid profits, with Big Planet Made Entertainment taking legal action against FameUs Entertainment for allegedly failing to distribute profits fairly.
On May 13, San E, CEO of FameUs Entertainment, broke the news on his social media account that he is locked in a legal battle with Big Planet Made Entertainment regarding outstanding settlement payments.
BE’O was an artist under FameUs Entertainment before signing with Big Planet Made.
Big Planet Made Entertainment released a statement on May 13 clarifying that they signed an exclusive contract with FameUs Entertainment in February 2022, they had agreed to distribute profits to BE’O based on the remaining amount after deducting expenses from the total income.
Big Planet Made Entertainment discovered that BE’O had unfairly divided the total sales into a certain percentage and paid him only a portion of the owed amount after deducting all costs.
They demanded that FameUs Entertainment rectify the illegal distribution and pay the accurate settlement amount due to BE’O, backed by content verification and other evidence.
Big Planet Made Entertainment took legal action against Fame Earth Entertainment after they failed to respond to concerns about unpaid settlement owed to the 24-year-old rapper.
To support the artist, Big Planet Made Entertainment has covered the outstanding amount on BE’O’s behalf, allowing him to focus on his work. The legal battle will begin on June 13 at the Seoul Central District Court, with Big Planet Made Entertainment committed to vigorously defending the rights of their artists.
