ARMYs will welcome the second BTS member to the spotlight in a few days!
The 30-year-old rapper and dancer is set to complete his active-duty service after enlisting on April 18, 2023. He will complete his active-duty military service on Thursday, October 17.
On October 14, BIGHIT MUSIC, the agency representing BTS, announced his military discharge details, stating, “J-Hope is close to completing his active service in the army and will soon be discharged.”
The label added, “Discharge day is a day shared by many military service members, no special events are planned on the day of J-hope’s discharge. To prevent any issues arising from overcrowding, fans are strongly advised to refrain from visiting the discharge site.”
It is not yet confirmed if BTS members will reunite again to celebrate his discharge. Previously, all BTS members arrived at the Jin’s military unit on his discharge day, June 12.
J-Hope, the second BTS member to enlist, followed in Jin’s footsteps by beginning his mandatory military service. During his tenure, he took on the role of assistant instructor at the 36th Infantry Division’s training battalion in Wonju, Gangwon Province.
The remaining BTS members RM, SUGA, Jimin, V, and Jungkook will complete their military service in June 2025.
