Billlie member Haruna will suspend activities after a serious security incident at her residence, her agency, Mystic Story, announced on July 25.
According to the agency, “an outsider physically damaged the entrance to member Haruna’s residence, forcibly entered, and threatened the artist.” The break-in was immediately reported to police, and the 19-year-old idol has since moved to a new location.
Mystic Story shared that Haruna was taken to a medical institution for a detailed examination. “Following a detailed diagnosis, it was determined that Haruna requires rest and psychological stability for the time being,” the agency stated. As a result, Billlie will continue promotions with six members until she returns.
The company assured fans that they are responding seriously to the matter and confirmed that legal action is being pursued. “We take this matter very seriously and will pursue strong legal action—both civil and criminal—against the perpetrator, without leniency, in cooperation with the police investigation.”
Mystic Story also apologized for the sudden news. “We sincerely apologize for causing concern to fans with this sudden news,” the agency said, adding that they will “ensure Haruna receives the necessary care and recovers fully for a safe and stable return.”
The agency concluded with a firm commitment to artist protection: “We will continue to respond firmly and without leniency to any actions that threaten the safety of our artists.”
Privacy invasions by obsessive fans, known as sasaengs, remain a serious issue for K-pop idols. Recently, a group of fans broke into ENHYPEN’s dorm and were swiftly arrested. On the day of BTS Jungkook’s military discharge, a woman attempted to trespass into his home.
Despite ongoing warnings and legal threats from agencies, such incidents continue to occur without any noticeable decline.
Meanwhile, Billlie dropped their last release, Appendix: Of All We Have Lost, in October 2024. Earlier this year, members Moon Sua and Siyoon made their unit debut with the single, ‘Snap.’
