When is BLACKPINK Contract Expiring with YG Entertainment?

According to reports, BLACKPINK’s contract with YG Entertainment is set to expire in 2023. Recently, there have been a lot of rumors surrounding the contract renewal. It is reported by many media outlets that the members and YG Entertainment are far apart on the terms of the contract renewal. This means that the group still has a couple of weeks left under the label. However, it’s not clear if the group will renew their contract with YG Entertainment or move to another label.

Some reports suggested that Lisa may leave YG Entertainment. There were also rumors that if any of the members leave, the group may disband. We still have not heard anything from the horse’s mouth yet. As per sources, YG Entertainment is utilizing all its resources to renew its contract with BLACKPINK.

BLACKPINK is the only distinct K-pop group under the label and understandably, they would not want to let them go. It is reported that BLACKPINK is responsible for about 80% of YG Entertainment’s revenue. Well, fans have to wait at least two weeks to see if the popular K-pop group stays with YG Entertainment or not.

The 4-member girl group has been successful under YG Entertainment, with hits such as “Kill This Love,” “DDU-DU DDU-DU,” and “How You Like That.” They have also been making waves internationally, collaborating with artists such as The Weeknd, Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa, and Selena Gomez.

BLINKs are hoping that the group will renew their contract with YG Entertainment. However, some are also excited about the possibility of the group moving to another label. Regardless of what happens, it’s clear that BLACKPINK will continue to dominate the K-pop scene for years to come.

As of now, there has been no official announcement from BLACKPINK or YG Entertainment regarding the renewal of the group’s contract. Fans will have to wait and see what the future holds for the beloved K-pop group.
