On August 15, 2025, BLACKPINK delivered a performance that will go down in K-pop history. The four-member group, Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa, became the first K-pop girl group to headline Wembley Stadium. They joined a legendary roster of acts including Michael Jackson, Spice Girls, Taylor Swift, and BTS.
BLACKPINK brought London’s Wembley Stadium to life in a way only the world’s top girl group could. The show marked the first of two sold-out nights at the legendary venue, part of their DEADLINE World Tour.
The concert was part of their DEADLINE World Tour, a massive trek spanning 31 shows across 16 cities, and the London stop was one of its crown jewels.
BLACKPINK Delivers a Historic Performance at Wembley Stadium
Around 70,000 filled the stadium as BLACKPINK returned to London after two years. Their two-and-a-half-hour performance was more than a concert; for BLINKs, it was a celebration of their journey and their enduring bond.
Lisa summed it up to the roaring crowd:
What an absolute honour to be performing here at Wembley Stadium… We’re absolutely in awe at all of you.
Jennie added with a smile,
It’s an epic dream, and it still feels a little unreal.
Rosé, reflected on their last London visit, adding:
The last time here was insane, but tonight is a whole other level.
As Rosé said, it was a ‘historic’ day as they were the first girl group after the Spice Girls to take over Wembley Stadium.
The Performance: Hits, Solos, and Surprises
The group launched their set with a blazing trio of hits: Kill This Love, Pink Venom, and How You Like That. Lasers, pyrotechnics, and synchronized choreography set the tone for the night. The stadium instantly transformed into a glowing ocean of pink. Fans were on their feet instantly, singing and dancing along.
Solo Stages
Each member showcased her unique style:
- Jisoo delivered powerful performances of the newly released tracks Earthquake and Your Love.
- Lisa brought an edge with Thunder, Lifestyle, and Rockstar.
- Jennie lit up the stage with like JENNIE, Handlebars, and With the IE.
- Rosé balanced vulnerability and stadium anthems in APT and Toxic Till the End.
The chemistry was strongest when all four came together for fan favorites such as Boombayah, DDU-DU DDU-DU, and Forever Young. Their newest single, Jump, became a clear highlight and had fans calling it a likely “song of the summer.”
Production, Staging, and Fan Interaction
The 360-degree catwalk meant every fan, no matter where they were seated, had a clear view. During Pretty Savage, the four members posed against golden ballet barres in one of the night’s most striking visuals.
During Don’t Know What to Do, Rosé struggled to tie a loose shoelace, while Lisa teased her. Later, a reprise of Jump saw the group abandon choreography altogether, headbanging and grinning as if they were at a rock concert.
The encore featuring Yeah Yeah Yeah, Kick It, and a reprise of Jump, ended the night with confetti showers and thunderous cheers.
Fans’ Experience at Wembley
Wembley implemented strict rules to keep the event smooth. Gates opened at 5:30 PM, and the show started promptly at 8:30 PM, ending by curfew at 10:30 PM. The venue enforced a cashless system and limited bags to A4 size. Accessibility services included wheelchair seating, sensory rooms, and BSL interpreters.
Official merchandise was in high demand, and exclusive tour items were available at multiple booths.
BLACKPINK’s Next Era
Although marketed as a reunion tour, only two years have passed since BLACKPINK’s last London performance. In that time, the members signed new contracts with YG Entertainment, received honorary MBEs from King Charles, and pursued ambitious solo projects.
Lisa took on a role in The White Lotus, Jennie made waves with her viral single like JENNIE, Jisoo led the K-drama Newtopia, and Rosé scored an international hit with Bruno Mars on APT.
This two-year break did not weaken the group’s bond, instead, they are stronger than ever and ready to take over the music world. As Rosé told fans that night:
We’re really grateful that you guys stuck around and supported us.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK will conclude the European leg of their world tour, Deadline, with a final concert in London on August 16. They will take a short break before resuming the tour in October and make a comeback the following month.
