This summer, two of Korea’s biggest stars are teaming up on the big screen.
2025 is undoubtedly Jisoo’s year, as all the projects she worked on in 2024 will be released this year. On the other hand, Lee Min Ho will also appear in multiple projects, starting the year with Korea’s first-ever space drama, “When The Stars Gossip”, premiering on January 4.
In addition, one of the hugely-awaited movies “Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint” is set to be released in the summer. The movie has captured everyone’s attention for its all-star cast featuring Lee Min Ho, Jisoo, Ahn Hyo Seop, and Nana.
The filming wrapped in May 2024, and at the time, the director Kim Byung Woo hinted at a summer 2025 release in his tweet.
On January 3, Sports Chosun reported that “Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint” is set to hit cinemas in July. Notably, the production team has not yet confirmed the release date.
Based on the web novel with a staggering 236 million downloads, the film follows the story of a young gaming company employee who becomes the protagonist of his favorite web novel. As reality mirrors fiction, he transforms into a hero and discovers his true purpose.
The movie is produced by Realize Pictures, a renowned production company behind three blockbuster hits – ‘Masquerade’, ‘Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds’ and ‘Along with the Gods: The Last 49 Days’.
Since it was announced, the movie has drawn a lot of attention from both international audiences and the media because Jisoo is starring in it. Interestingly, the 30-year-old K-pop star is making her big screen debut with this movie.
She will be seen in “Newtopia”, a zombie thriller by Coupang Play, which will release on February 7. In addition, BLINKs can look forward to her rom-com drama “Boyfriend on Demand” and solo comeback.
Meanwhile, more details about the “Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint” release date will be announced later.
