BLACKPINK is back together and bigger than ever. After more than a year focusing on solo projects, the four members reunited to launch their long-awaited ‘DEADLINE’ World Tour at Goyang Stadium in Seoul on July 5.
The stadium was packed with thousands of fans, and millions more wanted to watch online however it was not officially streamed to the public. The group opened a new era with fresh songs, solo performances, and surprises.
BLACKPINK reunited on stage nearly two years after their last world tour Born Pink encore in Seoul on September 16-17, 2023.
The first night of the ‘DEADLINE’ World Tour wasn’t just another BLACKPINK concert, it was proof that the group remains K-pop’s biggest live draw.
A Setlist Packed With Hits and New Surprises
From the very first beat of ‘Kill This Love’, the energy inside Goyang Stadium was electric. BLACKPINK rolled out a carefully crafted setlist combining their signature global hits with fresh arrangements and new surprises.
Goyang Concert opened with explosive performances of ‘Kill This Love’, ‘Pink Venom’, ‘How You Like That’, ‘Playing With Fire’, the latter reworked with a brand-new arrangement, and ‘Shut Down’. Fans loved a special dance break that mixed ‘Shut Down,’ ‘Crazy Over You,’ and ‘Typa Girl’ into one fierce performance.
BLACKPINK members, who are sometimes labeled “lazy” by critics, delivered a high-energy performance. Still, a few antis claimed the members lip-synced parts of their solo stages.
After performing ‘Shut Down,’ Jisoo and Lisa took the spotlight with their newly released solo tracks. The full group then came back together for ‘Pretty Savage,’ ‘Don’t Know What To Do,’ ‘Whistle,’ ‘Stay,’ and ‘Lovesick Girls.’ Later, Rosé and Jennie delivered their solo sets before the group powered through ‘Boombayah,’ ‘Ddu Du Ddu Du,’ ‘As If It’s Your Last,’ ‘Forever Young,’ and ‘Yeah Yeah Yeah.’
Solo Stages of Jisoo, Lisa, Jennie, and Rosé
True to BLACKPINK’s trademark tour style, each member owned the stage with solo sets. Jisoo delivered a reimagined version of ‘Earthquake’ and her fan favorite ‘Your Love.’
Lisa gave the crowd a taste of her fierce stage presence with ‘New Woman’, before launching into ‘Rockstar’, complete with the remixed version fans first saw at the VMAs 2024.
Jennie performed ‘Mantra’, then surprised fans with ‘With the IE (Way Up)’ in a new arrangement, closing her stage with the viral ‘like JENNIE.’
Rosé struck an emotional chord with her tracks ‘3am,’ ‘Toxic Til The End,’ and ‘APT.’ She even invited a lucky young fan onstage during the performance of the smash hit, ‘APT.’
‘Jump’ Marks a New Era for BLACKPINK
One of the biggest highlights was the live debut of BLACKPINK’s brand-new song ‘Jump.’ The track was performed during the main set and returned as the encore’s opening number. The new song was scheduled to be released last month and was later pushed to early July. Ultimately, YG decided to premiere the song at the ‘Deadline’ world tour. BLACKPINK’s new song, ‘Jump,’ will officially hit music platforms on Friday, July 11, 2025.
A Stadium Packed With Fans and Support From YG Producers
The sold-out Goyang Stadium was proof that BLACKPINK’s power as a group is still unbeatable. Thousands of BLINKs filled the venue, waving light sticks and singing every word. Even with their solo success, their unity on stage shone through.
YG’s top in-house producers like P.K, Dee.P, NU_BOUNCE’s Insu and Kendrick, Lil Shark, J.DOOR, Millennium, BIGTONE, and Illjun were also seen cheering them on. It just shows how big the BLACKPINK world tour ‘DEADLINE’ is for YG’s brand.
Fan Interaction and Finale
Throughout the show, BLACKPINK took time to greet fans, share heartfelt messages, and hype up the crowd for what’s ahead. The encore, which featured ‘Jump’ once more and closed with ‘See U Later,’ ended the night on a high. The members promised BLINKs more surprises as the world tour rolls on.
