Rosé made history multiple times over at the 2026 Grammy Awards. The BLACKPINK member arrived on the red carpet as a first-time nominee and is gearing up to become the first solo K-pop artist to perform on the ceremony’s legendary stage.
Her landmark evening centered on “APT.,” the global hit collaboration with Bruno Mars that earned her three prestigious nominations: Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. This achievement marks the first time a K-pop soloist has been nominated in the Grammys’ major “general field” categories.
For this historic moment, Rosé wore a strapless black minidress, elevated by a voluminous half-skirt of draped and gathered white fabric that flowed to the floor.
The look was styled by Aeri Yun and finished with refined Tiffany & Co. jewelry. She completed the look with a signature platinum blonde bob hairstyle.
On the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, Rosé described the feeling as surreal. The K-pop idol compared it to the life-changing moment she was selected by YG Entertainment to move to Korea as a trainee.
The ‘Toxic Till The End’ singer said that she did not believe it to be “possible” and feels like the “second chapter” of her life.
In a separate interview with Billboard, Rosé opened up about how close “APT.” came to never existing. Her first meeting with Bruno Mars in the summer of 2024 was, in her mind, a one-time chance to learn from a legend.
“I was trying to get the most out of the meeting because I thought it’d be our last—first and last meeting, forever,” she said.
In addition, fictional group HUNTR/X, which has turned out to be a major winner this awards season, is also competing in multiple major categories.
On the work front, Rosé’s group, BLACKPINK, will release their 3rd EP, DEADLINE, in over three years on February 27 and hold contract renewal negotiations with YG later this year.
