After a hiatus of nearly a year following their highly successful world tour BORN PINK, the popular girl group BLACKPINK is set to reunite for the first time to celebrate a special milestone.

On July 19, YG Entertainment announced a highly-anticipated fansign event for a lucky few on August 8. As per the notice, only 88 lucky participants will get to meet BLACKPINK members, Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa.

YG Entertainment stated, “Only 88 Participants, who best express their love for BLACKPINK through fan letters, memories, photos, drawings, or stories about their precious memories with BLACKPINK, will be invited for the fansign event!”

Previously, there were reports that they would go on an Asia fanmeeting tour in the second half of 2024, however, YG has yet to comment on that.

Ahead of the debut anniversary, they will be releasing a concert film this month. Dates for the fan sign events and further details have not yet been shared with BLINKs.

Since BLACKPINK members are busy with solo works, it is highly unlikely that they will release a group album this year.

Due to the lack of BLACKPINK activities and comeback this year, YG Entertainment’s operating profit for the 2Q of 2024 was down by 98.9% to 300 million won, as reported by Daol Investment & Securities.

Lastly, BLINKs are awaiting an announcement for the possible Asia fanmeeting tour following the fan signing event.
