After a sluggish 2024, YG Entertainment is set for a strong rebound in 2025 due to a packed schedule of high-profile activities. The highly anticipated BLACKPINK world tour and comeback are expected to be major profit boosters, helping the label bounce back from last year’s losses.

On February 7, the brokerage Daishin Securities reaffirmed that BLACKPINK’s upcoming world tour will propel the company to its highest sales of the year, with shares currently trading at 52,500 won.

Lim Su Jin, a researcher at Daishin Securities, stated, “This year, we expect a significant improvement in performance due to the expanded activities of BABYMONSTER and TREASURE, as well as the long-awaited full-group comeback of BLACKPINK.”

Lim added, “In particular, we believe that the scale of BLACKPINK’s world tour will likely exceed market expectations when announced.”

Researcher Lim predicted that BLACKPINK’s upcoming tour will draw over 40,000 attendees per show. Based on last year’s average ticket price, the forecast is:

  • Total sales: 600 billion won (up from 437.6 billion won in the previous tour)
  • Operating profit: 90 billion won

The group’s solo activities, such as Rosé’s “APT.” were highly successful last year, which will likely lead to increased guarantees and royalties.

So far, a teaser video for BLACKPINK’s 2025 world tour has shaken the music scene. The mere announcement has generated a huge buzz, and an overwhelming reaction from fans is expected as the 4-member girl group will return to the stage after nearly two years.

The upcoming tour is expected to be massive, with more shows and held at larger venues.

If reports are true, BLACKPINK will make a comeback in May, nearly 3 years after their Studiofan signed “Born Pink” in 2022. In addition, they concluded their highest-grossing tour “Born Pink” in September 2023 and did not engage in any group activities since except for the 8th debut anniversary fansign and tour movie screening.

BLACKPINK’s ‘Born Pink’ tour grossed a whopping $331.8 million across all 66 shows. This milestone sets three new records: the highest-grossing tour by an Asian act, the highest-grossing tour by a female group, and the 6th highest-grossing tour by a female act.

The tour, which ran from October 2022 to September 2023, consisted of 66 concerts across 22 countries, drawing in a massive audience of 1.8 million fans.

Members are expected to wrap up solo activities in March, with Jennie the last one to release the studio album “Ruby” on March 7. Two BLACKPINK members Jisoo and Lisa will drop solo albums on February 14 and February 28 respectively.

Besides group activities, members will continue solo endeavors and treat fans with solo music as well.

All eyes are now on BLACKPINK’s expected comeback in May and massive world tour.
