BLACKPINK is set to make a big comeback this November with their first album in over three years. The group, Jisoo, Rosé, Lisa, and Jennie, is currently finishing up their world tour, DEADLINE, which will take them across 16 cities with 31 concerts.
After wrapping their London show on August 16, the girls will take a short break before hitting the road again in Taiwan on October 18.
According to an exclusive report by My Daily on August 11, BLACKPINK’s new release will be a mini-album, following their last full album BORN PINK, from September 2022.
The group has already completed the album’s jacket photoshoot and is finishing up recording and production. They will likely have everything ready in the next two months. Although the original plan was to release the album in October, the schedule shifted to November, and the group hopes of promoting it on music shows.
This comeback follows the success of their digital single JUMP, released on July 11. The song grabbed attention with its catchy guitar riff and strong vocals. JUMP topped Spotify’s Global Weekly Chart and debuted at number 18 on the UK Official Singles Chart. It also hit number one on Billboard’s Global 200 and Global Excl. US charts, and entered the Billboard Hot 100 at #28.
The ongoing DEADLINE tour has been a huge hit, kicking off in Goyang and covering major cities like Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, New York, Paris, Milan, and Barcelona so far.
Upcoming stops include London, Kaohsiung, Bangkok, Jakarta, Bulacan, Singapore, Tokyo, and Hong Kong. After the London show, they will take a short break and work on the forthcoming album before continuing in Taiwan.
In response to BLACKPINK comeback in November, YG Entertainment revealed to Newsen, saying,
We will provide further details through official promotions later.
Fans are excited to see BLACKPINK back on music shows and stages with new music.
As BLACKPINK celebrates their 9th anniversary this year, this comeback is especially meaningful. The group has consistently broken records and grown their global fanbase, and this album is expected to continue their rise.
