BLACKPINK’s Jennie is emerging as a talented and influential soloist even before the release of his debut album.
Without releasing an album, she debuted on the Billboard Hot 100, surpassed 1.4 billion Spotify streams, and became the first female soloist to have an MV surpass 1 billion YouTube views.
Currently, she is embarking on a solo journey after establishing her own agency, ODD ATELIER. Moreover, she starred in an entertainment show, Apartment 404, after 5 years.
On March 1, the BLACKPINK member appeared on Yoo Jaesuk’s Just an Excuse. On the show, she talked about a variety of things including her solo journey and upcoming album release.
Jennie shared, “While working in the group, I was consistently worried about what the fans and public wanted and what I wanted to do.” She further added, “I could not solve what I wanted to do while doing group music.”
About solo endeavors, The You & Me singer revealed, “I’m thinking about finding what I want to do and what I want to challenge myself with.”
In addition, Jennie revealed she could not sleep for 4 days because of her hectic schedule.
She also spilled the beans about her upcoming album saying that she is currently focusing only on her album.
