BLACKPINK’s Jennie to Appear on Korean Music Shows for ‘Mantra’ Promotions

BLACKPINK's Jennie in a Teaser for Mantra

BLACKPINK’s Jennie has spent months perfecting her solo comeback, and now it’s time to share it with the world. And she’s not holding back – her promotional schedule is packed.

The 28-year-old K-pop sensation will drop her first solo single after a year, Mantra, on October 11.

On October 6, music industry sources revealed that she is conducting extensive domestic activities to promote Mantra.

As per sources, “This is the first product she is presenting after becoming a solo artist, so she must feel the pressure. It seems that Jennie has thought a lot to achieve a result that she is satisfied with.”

The You & Me singer will appear on domestic music shows (M Countdown, Music Bank, Inkigayo, etc) to perform and promote her single. Usually, popular K-pop soloists skip appearances on music and focus on promotions overseas. However, she will focus on promotional activities in Korea and abroad.

Jennie has been building hype for her solo single Mantra with the release of a series of promotional content. The teaser audio for ‘Mantra’ has sparked buzz for its addictive melody.

To announce her comeback, she dropped a video featuring the phrase ‘CALLING ALL PRETTY GIRLS’, which rapidly climbed to the top of real-time trends on X (formerly Twitter) worldwide.

This is Jennie’s first musical release since her hit single ‘You & Me’ in October last year, which achieved remarkable success without promotions:

‘Mantra’ is her debut release since leaving YG Entertainment, setting up her personal label ODD ATELIER in December and signing with Columbia Records last month.

According to industry insiders, she dedicated immense time and effort to perfecting the single. It was originally slated to release earlier than October, however was delayed.

On another note, Jennie will release Mantra worldwide on October 11 followed by her first full-length album.
