Details are finally out for BLACKPINK Jennie’s upcoming single, which she has been teasing for days.
On October 1, the 28-year-old K-pop sensation dropped a teaser for her long-awaited single, Mantra, along with the release date.
While she previously hinted at a comeback date in a teaser, this is the first time Mantra release date has been officially announced.
In addition, she released a snippet of her song and fans are already suspecting it to be a hit. She is making a comeback after a year following the official release of You & Me in October 2023.
Previously, the You & Me singer gained fans’ attention with a series of unexpected teasers and images. One video, featuring the phrase ‘CALLING ALL PRETTY GIRLS,’ rapidly gained traction. The phrase swiftly climbed to the top of real-time trends in multiple countries and regions, dominating conversations on X (formerly Twitter).
Jennie is the first Korean female solo artist to earn RIAA platinum certification for “One of the Girls,” her collaborative hit with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp. Additionally, her solo single “SOLO” achieved another milestone, surpassing 1 billion music video views in April, becoming the first female K-pop artist to reach this benchmark.
Lastly, Jennie has announced her Oct. 11 comeback with solo single ‘Mantra’, available for pre-save on Spotify, and Apple Music.
