At Superpop Japan, the crowd was buzzing with excitement as BLACKPINK’s Jennie took the stage for her solo performance.
Superpop Japan, an annual Japanese music festival, was held in Osaka on November 9-10. Headliners TXT and BLACKPINK’s Jennie closed the show with unforgettable performances. WayV, &TEAM, Kep1er, fromis_9, and more performed on the final day (November 10).
This music festival is held every year with many K-pop, J-pop, and Asian artists joining the performing lineup.
Jennie performed two of her hit singles “You & Me” (October 2023) and “Mantra” (October 2024). Dressed in Chanel, she drew attention with her flawless visuals and singing skills.
This is the first time she performed solo in Japan after a long time. After making her solo comeback after a year, she performed “Mantra” on Korean music shows “M Countdown” and “Show! Music Core.”
After releasing the single, she took the stage at Jimmy Kimmel Live on October 15 (local time). It is only the beginning as the “Solo” singer is yet to release a solo full-length album this year.
She is pursuing solo activities and releases under her label ODD ATELIER and Columbia Records. All BLACKPINK members are currently busy with solo ventures, with Rosé dropping a studio album next month and Lisa kicking off her fanmeeting tour on November 11.
Jisoo will focus on her acting career this year, with three exciting projects lined up. Reports of her comeback this year were denied by her agency BLISSOO.
Meanwhile, fans eagerly await details about Jennie’s first-ever studio album and look forward to seeing more solo performances
