As the other BLACKPINK members had already made their solo debuts, fans were patiently waiting for Jisoo’s turn.
Well, BLINKs just have to wait a month as the 30-year-old K-pop star has announced her solo comeback date.
On January 13, her independent label BLISSOO shared a “Coming Soon” teaser on her official YouTube channel. At the end of the teaser, it was revealed that Jisoo will make a solo comeback on Valentine’s Day.
It is not yet known if she is going to drop a pre-release single or an entire album on February 14. Soon after the teaser was made public, the “Flower” singer took to fan communication platform Bubble to share her excitement for the upcoming release.
She expressed, “I chose Valentine’s Day because I thought it would look romantic if it was released then. The gift is me. It’s my first time preparing everything on my own, and wow… There is so much to do! But since BLINKs have been waiting, I wanted to do everything to make you happy. I took lots of photos and worked hard to get everything ready! Look forward to it, I love you, I’m looking forward to Newtopia and Chusolo 2.”
February is an exciting month for fans of Jisoo as she makes her acting and music comeback just a week apart. Her zombie comedy, “Newtopia”, with Park Jeong Min premieres on February 7, and her music comeback is scheduled for February 14.
In addition, Jisoo will make her screen debut in July with the movie “Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint”, which also stars Lee Min Ho, Ahn Hyo Seop, Nana, and Chae Soo Bin. He ventures into the romantic comedy world with the drama “Boyfriend on Demand” alongside Seo In Guk.
Lastly, BLINKs can look forward to solo comebacks from Jennie, Lisa, and Jisoo in the coming months. Lisa will also release her studio album next month and Jennie will set the mood with another pre-release single. As per reports, BLACKPINK members will reunite for a comeback in May.
