Jisoo from BLACCKPINK

After wrapping up filming for Newtopia and Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint, Jisoo is already eying her next acting project.

As reported by OSEN on August 29, Jisoo has been offered the lead role in the upcoming drama Monthly Boyfriend and is currently considering the opportunity.

Responding to the reports, her personal label BLISSOO shared, “We have received the offer and are reviewing it positively.”

The Flower singer made her acting debut in the JTBC drama Snowdrop, which concluded on January 30, 2022.

Following her acting debut in Snowdrop, Jisoo has expanded her acting portfolio with a special appearance in Dr. Cheon and The Lost Talisman and leading roles in two upcoming projects.

She has completed filming for the movie adaptation of the popular web novel Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint, slated for release next summer, where she plays Lee Ji-hye, a high school student with a pivotal role.

Additionally, Jisoo has finished filming the Coupang Play series Newtopia, starring alongside Park Jeong Min, which tells the story of a former couple fighting zombies in a Seoul high-rise building while rekindling their relationship.

Not to mention, the 29-year-old singer has repeatedly hinted at working on a solo album.

Jisoo launched her own label BLISSOO in February. She is now balancing individual activities, under BLISSOO’s guidance, led by her brother Kim Jung Hoon as CEO.

She is still being managed by YG Entertainment for BLACKPINK activities. Meanwhile, BLACKPINK celebrated their 8th anniversary with the release of Born Pink in Cinema. The group is also gearing up for a full comeback and world tour next year.
