BLACKPINK’s Lisa Criticized for Not Promoting Jennie and Rosé’s Solo Comebacks

BLINKs have been divided by controversy surrounding Lisa’s response – or lack thereof – to Jennie and Rosé’s upcoming solo releases.

Both Jennie and Rosé announced their highly-anticipated solo releases one after the other.

However, fans were disappointed when Lisa did leave a supporting message for them. Jennie was the first member to announce a solo comeback, and Jisoo and Rosé commented with emojis to show their support.

On the other hand, Jennie left a heartfelt message, sharing the Rosé album teaser on her Instagram story, saying, “So proud and happy for you rosieposie, it is time to wake everyone up with your beautiful voice. Can’t wait!”

Rosé showed support for Lisa’s first solo single of the year, ROCKSTAR, by doing a dance challenge with her. Jennie also showed support for her solo releases by sharing them on her Instagram stories. Plus, Jisoo and Rosé congratulated her for winning ‘Best K-pop’ at the 2024 MTV VMAs.

However, BLINKs and solo stans are eagerly awaiting a post or a comment supporting her groupmates’ upcoming releases. Some are criticizing her for her lack of response and for not promoting members’ solo releases.

That being said, some fans might be overreacting regarding her lack of response. Previously, Jisoo mentioned on Young Ji’s show that there are often rumors suggesting there is trouble among members when one does not promote the album or post about it on Instagram. She shared, “We just laugh when we see such things.”

On the other hand, Lisa is set to release her song MOONLIT FLOOR today followed by Jennie’s Mantra on October 11 and Rosé’s studio album rosie on December 6. Jisoo, who has finished filming her acting projects, is expected to release new music in early 2025.
