The director accuses Lisa of copying Travis Scott’s video concept for her latest hit ROCKSTAR.
Gabriel Moses, who directed Travis Scott’s FE!N, accused the K-pop star of plagiarism earlier this month.
On July 6, music video producer Gabriel Moses shared a telling comparison on social media, juxtaposing a scene from Travis Scott’s FE!N video (released July last year) with a strikingly similar scene from Lisa’s ROCKSTAR video, dropped on June 28.
He also shared an email from a Travis Scott fan, pointing out that a scene in ROCKSTAR appears to copy a scene from FE!N without properly crediting Gabriel Moses’ work.
The MV director is demanding credit for his work on Lisa’s ROCKSTAR music video, alleging that it copied his concept without permission. He has given an ultimatum, requiring a response by the end of July.
Lisa’s team has yet to address the accusations or provide a statement regarding the matter.
While her long-awaited solo comeback with ROCKSTAR is well-received by fans, plagiarism accusations have marred the success of the song.
On another note, Lisa is set to headline the Global Citizen Festival in September and has plans to release a solo album this year.
