BLACKPINK’s Rosé made a powerful statement about mental health and emphasized the significance of education during her attendance at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit.

Rosé took part in a mental health event organized by Jill Biden, the wife of U.S. President Joe Biden. The event, held at Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino, California, aimed to raise awareness about mental health and draw attention to its importance.

Jill Biden praised Rosé as a “global superstar” who harnesses her influence for positive change. She commended the BLACKPINK member for advocating for mental health solutions and bravely sharing their own story to inspire others. Moreover, Jill Biden expressed gratitude for Rosé’s acceptance of the invitation to the event.

The On the Ground singer opened up about feeling vulnerable when the public focuses on her on social media, especially when facing criticism. She expressed that no matter how hard she tries, there will always be someone with their own opinions or who enjoys shaping the narrative about her.

However, she emphasized the importance of discussing these challenges, no matter how difficult it may be. Rosé also compared the attention given to mental health with that of physical health, highlighting the need for equal or even greater attention to maintaining mental well-being.
