Rosé from BLACKPINK and Bruno Mars are confirmed to take the stage at K-pop’s most prestigious award ceremony!
On November 21, the 2024 MAMA Awards announced its latest performer lineup and red carpet MC on social media. Eric Nam will be the red carpet host for the ceremony in the US on November 21 while Lee Hye Sung and Hanhae will welcome K-pop stars in Japan.
Notably, BLACKPINK’s Rosé and Bruno Mars, who recently collaborated on the hit single “APT.”, will share the stage at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan on November 22.
The BLACKPINK member departed for Osaka, Japan, on November 20, to perform at the award show and attend the listening party for her album “rosie.”
Rosé’s pre-release single, ‘APT.’, is making waves ahead of her comeback on December 6 with her debut full-length album, ‘rosie’. The song achieved remarkable success, topping US Spotify, QQ Music, and iTunes in 40 regions.
It entered at No. 8 on Billboard’s HOT 100, marking the highest K-pop female artist debut and first single-digit entry. “APT.” remained in the Top 15 for the second consecutive week.
Besides Rosé and Bruno Mars, many renowned artists are scheduled to perform including aespa, TXT, ILLIT, LE SSERAFIM, ENHYPEN, SEVENTEEN, KATSEYE, izna, Byeon Woo Seok, and more.
The 2024 MAMA Awards will feature performances in the US and Japan. The US show kicks off on November 22 at 12:00 PM KST, followed by Japan’s at 6:00 PM KST on the same day. Chapter 2 of the Japan performance will take place on November 23 at 3:00 PM KST.
