The eagerly awaited preview features a stunning cover of Coldplay’s hit song Viva La Vida, performed by none other than Rosé, the talented vocalist of the K-pop phenomenon BLACKPINK.

On July 23, Apple TV+ dropped the trailer and fans are going gaga over the vocals of the On The Ground singer.

As revealed by Apple TV, Rosé’s cover of Viva La Vida is featured in both the trailer and the final episode of Pachinko Season 2, providing a powerful conclusion to the series.

Earlier this year, she sang the signal song, The Love Song, for I-LAND 2. After signing with THE BLACK LABEL, Rosé has hinted at releasing music soon.

Based on the bestselling novel, Pachinko follows the journey of a Korean family from the early 20th century to the 1980s, as they navigate their way through Japan. The story is told through the eyes of Sunja, a mother who must build a new life in a foreign land to survive.

Season 2 picks up in 1945 Osaka, amidst World War II, and explores Seonja’s struggles to protect her family, even if it means making risky decisions. The season also weaves in the stories of Solomon, a man starting anew in 1989 Tokyo, and an elderly Sunja, who worries about her grandson’s future.

Lastly, The Pachinko season 2 will comprise 8 episodes, with the premiere debuting on August 23. Subsequent episodes will be released weekly on Apple TV+ from August 30 to October 11, with one new episode available each week.
