THE BLACK LABEL, founded by producer Teddy, has officially confirmed on June 18 that Rosé from BLACKPINK has signed with the label.
This comes after speculations emerged on June 17 that the 27-year-old singer is in discussions to join their roster.
In an official statement by THE BLACK LABEL, it was announced, “Producer Teddy and artist Rosé, who have worked together as a producer and artist for a long time, recently signed a management contract with THE BLACK LABEL based on their deep trust in each other.”
Moreover, the label asked fans to look forward to her upcoming activities, stating, “Please look forward to the best synergy between Rosé, who has a unique musical color, and THE BLACK LABEL, which pursues artists’ freedom of activity.”
The label hinted that she’ll sign with global record labels for musical activities. Her bandmate Lisa has also signed with RCA Records to release solo music.
The On The Ground singer is preparing for her much-awaited solo comeback and set to meet domestic and global fans soon with new music.
Since the news surfaced about her joining Teddy’s label, fans have been upset and have turned to social media to show their dissatisfaction.
On the other hands, fellow BLACKPINK members Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa have set up their own agencies for solo endeavors and will be carrying out group activities with YG Entertainment.
