Kim Sae Ron, the rising actress in Korean entertainment, has tragically passed away. Her sudden death has left fans, friends, and the entertainment industry in shock and mourning.
On February 16, the 24-year-old actress was found dead at her home. Her body was discovered by a friend, who immediately alerted the authorities.
Seongdong Police Station revealed that they received a report at 4:50 PM on the 16th and immediately sent officers and emergency responders to the scene. A friend of Kim Sae Ron’s was the one who made the initial report. So far, police have not found any evidence of a break-in or suspicious circumstances, and the investigation is ongoing.
The police will conduct a thorough investigation based on statements from the friend who first reported her death, as well as other witnesses. However, they have asked for the public’s understanding in not disclosing sensitive details, such as whether the “Kiss Sixth Sense” actress left a will or the exact circumstances surrounding her death.
In May 2022, Kim Sae-ron was involved in a drunk driving incident in Gangnam, where she collided with a roadside structure and initially fled the scene. Following the incident, she stepped back from the public eye to reflect on her actions over the past two years.
Last year, she was embroiled in another controversy and received massive backlash for sharing an intimate picture with Kim Soo Hyun. While Kim Soo Hyun denied dating rumors, she refused to address the viral photo.
Kim Sae Ron’s last appeared in Netflix series “Bloodhounds”, which was filmed prior to her 2022 accident. She had been set to make a comeback in May last year with the stage play “Dongchimi”, but unfortunately had to withdraw from the production due to health concerns.
