Lee Chae Min and actress Ryu Da In are once again in the spotlight after fans noticed their matching couple rings at the wrap-up party for tvN’s weekend drama, Bon Appétit, Your Majesty. On September 7, Lee was seen wearing a silver ring that closely resembled one Ryu Da In has been spotted with before.
The two actors first crossed paths during the 2023 hit drama Crash Course in Romance, where they appeared as classmates. Their on-screen connection soon turned into a real-life relationship, which they confirmed publicly in March 2024.
Despite being rookies in the industry, they have been open about their relationship from the beginning. In a past interview, Ryu thanked fans for their support, saying that many people encouraged them and that they would “date well.”
This is not the first time the couple has shown their affection for each other publicly, which is quite rare in the Korean entertainment industry. They go on frequent dates, hang out with colleagues together, and attend events.
They showed their support for each other on social media; for instance, when Ryu Da In posted about finishing her drama Pyramid Game, Lee Chae Min commented, “You worked hard, Myung Ja Eun,” and she responded, “I love you, thank you.”
Professionally, both actors are experiencing breakthrough moments. After Park Sung Hoon stepped down, Lee Chae Min unexpectedly assumed the lead role in Bon Appétit, Your Majesty right before the filming began. His performance as King Lee Heon has been well received, and his dynamic with YoonA has helped the drama gain attention at home and abroad.
His portrayal of the complex, emotional tyrant has earned strong praise and helped push the drama to new heights. Within just four episodes, the series recorded an impressive 11.1% viewership rating, the highest for a tvN drama this year, and even secured the top spot on Netflix’s global TV series chart. His on-screen chemistry with YoonA has also added to the drama’s popularity both in Korea and abroad.
Ryu Da In, on the other hand, is steadily gaining popularity with her own projects. She recently gained attention for her role as Myung Ja Eun in TVING’s Pyramid Game, a drama that tackled the harsh realities of school life and power dynamics.
Lee Chae Min has gained popularity with appearances in projects such as Crushology 101, Hierarchy, and Crash Course in Romance. Ryu Da-in is reportedly exploring roles in romantic comedies and upcoming drama productions.
