BOYNEXTDOOR will heat up the K-pop scene in May with new music!
Next month, many K-pop acts are scheduled to make comebacks including RIIZE, SEVENTEEN, BTS’ Jin, Red Velvet – Irene & Seulgi, and more.
As previously reported, BOYNEXTDOOR will release a new mini-album in May, and finally, an official announcement has been made.
On Monday, April 14, KOZ Entertainment dropped the first teaser for their 4th mini-album “No Genre”, set to release next month.
The 6-member emerging K-pop boy band will make a comeback eight months after their hugely successful mini-album “19.99”, released in September last year. They achieved several career highs with this album and it became their first million-seller album.
Now expectations are high that their upcoming release “No Genre” will cross the million-mark in debut week, if not on the first day. Everyone is looking forward to their May comeback as SM Entertainment’s group RIIZE will also reportedly drop their 1st studio album a week apart.
Having debuted in the same year, critics are eagerly awaiting the upcoming May comebacks of BOYNEXTDOOR and RIIZE. It will be interesting to see how these two new acts develop on their initial success.
BOYNEXTDOOR entered the K-pop scene on May 30, 2023, with the single album “Who!” followed by the first EP “Why..” in September of that year. They dropped the final part of the trilogy “How” in April last year.
Last July, BOYNEXTDOOR also made their Japanese debut with the single album “And,”, which sold 186,871 copies in the first week. In addition, they kicked off the year with the release of the digital single “If I Say, I Love You” on January 5. The song took the domestic charts by storm and is still ranking high on Melon, Genie, Vibe, and more.
Meanwhile, BOYNEXTDOOR will release their 4th mini-album “No Genre” on May 13 at 6 PM KST.
