The whispers fans have been clinging to are getting louder, and it’s starting to look like the BTS world tour they have been dreaming of since their hiatus will exceed expectations. We are talking about a massive, globe-spanning event that could easily be their biggest one yet.

The buzz started with a major report from Bloomberg, which dropped some seriously exciting numbers. According to their sources, the plan is for BTS to perform a staggering 65 dates all around the world in 2026.

Even more jaw-dropping? The report suggests that over 30 of those shows would be in North America alone. That’s a huge deal and hints at a tour on a scale fans haven’t seen from them before.

This all makes perfect sense with the timeline we know. All seven members, Jungkook, RM, V, SUGA, Jin, j-hope, and Jimin, are now officially done with their mandatory military service.

Since their discharge in late June, they have been intensively working on new group music with HYBE. Their first new album in six years is expected to drop at the end of March 2026, which would perfectly set the stage for a tour later that year.

Of course, in true K-pop fashion, the agency has stepped in with a gentle reminder to manage fans’ expectations. BIGHIT MUSIC released a statement saying, “Details regarding the dates and scale of BTS’ new world tour remain unconfirmed.”

They noted that the numbers floating around aren’t the “latest”; they are discussing. This isn’t a “no,” though; it’s a classic case of “plans are still being finalized, so don’t book your flights just this second.”

BTS was at its absolute peak in 2020 and 2021, even being named the top global act by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry. However, their planned tour was famously scrapped due to the COVID-19  pandemic. Their last concerts as a full group were in Las Vegas back in April 2022, which grossed an incredible $18 million and gave us a beautiful, if bittersweet, send-off.

Now, the question on everyone’s mind is: after all this time, has the enthusiasm held strong? If the constant online chatter and the success of the members’ solo projects suggest anything, the answer is a resounding yes.

The upcoming BTS tour will definitively answer the question of how much momentum remains for a group after a multi-year hiatus focused on military service. The members’ solo releases have been a success, but the collective power of BTS has been absent from the world stage.

According to Pollstar, BTS grossed nearly $300 million as a touring act between 2015 and 2022, and that figure only includes dates they officially reported. A successful 65-date global tour in 2026 would likely shatter their previous records.
