BTS fans worldwide may have to wait a little longer for the K-pop group’s long-awaited reunion. According to recent updates, the full-group comeback initially slated for 2025 has likely been pushed to 2026.

During a conference call on November 5 to discuss HYBE’s third-quarter financial performance, Chief Financial Officer Lee Kyung Joon revealed that discussions are ongoing with the group members about a possible full-group comeback in 2026.

Once all members complete military service in mid-2025, it is expected that they will resume solo activities while preparing for the full-group comeback.

While Jin and J-Hope have returned to civilian life, they began their military service in December 2022 and April 2023. However, with several members still fulfilling military service obligations, the timeline may have shifted. Here’s when they will be discharged

  • Suga: June 21, 2025
  • RM and V: June 10, 2025
  • Jimin and Jungkook: June 11, 2025

Fans are disappointed that the comeback is being pushed to 2026 as it was previously confirmed repeatedly by members and the agency.

While ARMYs wait for the group to reunite,  members have been exploring solo projects. Jin, the first to enlist, has completed his service and released his debut mini-album, “HAPPY.”

HYBE, the entertainment giant behind BTS, SEVENTEEN, TXT, NewJeans, LE SSERAFIM, and ILLIT, reported lackluster Q3 earnings on November 5. The company’s operating profit took a 25.4% hit, sliding to 54.2 billion won. Sales dipped 1.9% to 527.8 billion won, while net profit plummeted a staggering 98.6% to 1.4 billion won.

During the press conference call, the CFO noted that ‘although the proportion of full-group activities (in-house sales) will naturally be high, it won’t be as high as before since other artists’ growth will accompany it’.”

Fans are calling out the agency for trying to reduce their reliance on BTS, especially considering how much the group has contributed to its success and helped shape it into what it is today.
