The BTS rapper and dancer made a massive charitable donation to victims’ families.

On January 2, Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association announced that J-Hope has donated 100 million won to support victims of the Jeju Air plane crash, which took many lives.

A plane crash occurred on Sunday, December 29, when a Jeju Air passenger jet arriving from Bangkok crash-landed into the outer wall of Muan International Airport. It claimed the lives of 179 out of 181 people on board.

Hope Bridge CEO Shin Hoon expressed his gratitude, saying, “We appreciate J-Hope’s kind gesture towards the families of the victims.” He added, “We will do our best to ensure that the warm donation from J-Hope is delivered entirely to the bereaved families.”

J-Hope stated, “After hearing the news of the accident, I decided to donate to help the families of the victims in any way I could.” He also conveyed his condolences, saying, “I offer my deepest sympathies and comfort not only to the families of the victims but also to everyone who is experiencing sorrow due to this accident.”

In other news, J-Hope was discharged from the military in October 2024 and has resumed entertainment activities. Fans can look forward to BTS’ comeback and world tour in the second half of 2025.
