BTS’ j-hope is making a quick comeback just a few weeks after his last release!
Since being discharged from the military in October 2024, the K-pop rapper and dancer has been actively working on new music. He is now releasing new music that he has worked hard on for several months.
On March 15, BTS’ agency BIGHIT MUSIC dropped the first teaser for j-hope’s upcoming single “Mona Lisa” on all official social media channels. Later, the concept photos for the upcoming single were unveiled on February 16 at midnight.
The label described “Mona Lisa” as “a hip-hop and R&B track that celebrates a captivating person by playfully comparing them to the iconic masterpiece “Mona Lisa,” which has charmed the world for centuries.”
They added, “Through this song, j-hope conveys that true allure lies not in one’s external beauty but in the unique qualities that make the person special.”
j-hope is releasing this special digital single as a thank you to his fans for their constant love and support. Previously, the BTS member revealed releasing two more songs this year during Weverse live a few days earlier.
Later, he previewed the new song “Mona Lisa” during his Brooklyn performance for the solo world tour “HOPE ON THE STAGE” on March 13. He received an overwhelming response from the audience for his performance of an unreleased song.
Previously, he dropped a collaboration song “Sweet Dreams” with rapper Miguel on March 7. j-hope stunned the audience with a live performance of the song at “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on March 10.
In addition, he also participated in a song “LV Bag” for the Louis Vuitton Menswear FW2025 PFW show in January. It was a collaboration song of Dony Toliver, Speedy, j-hope, and Pharrell Williams, officially dropped on February 21.
On another note, he will continue his electrifying performances in the US, with shows scheduled in Chicago (March 17-18), Mexico City (March 22-23), San Antonio (March 26-27), Oakland (March 31 – April 1), and LA (April 6).
Meanwhile, j-hope will release his new digital single “Mona Lisa” on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 1 pm (KST).
