His lead single “Who” from the album “MUSE” was released on July 19, 2024, and it has since not left major music charts. The song has achieved a major milestone by tying with the record set by PSY’s “Gangnam Style”.

According to the latest Billboard HOT 100 chart revealed on March 3 (local time), Jimin’s “Who” has spent 31 weeks on HOT 100. It is tied to PSY’s iconic hit “Gangnam Style”, which is the longest-charting K-pop song by a solo artist.

The 29-year-old vocalist is not new to making history, he previously became the first K-pop artist to top the HOT 100 with the Korean song “Like Crazy” in 2023.

In addition, he is on the verge of another milestone. “Who” is just one week away from tying with BTS’ hit song “Dynamite”, which spent 32 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100. If “Who” reaches this mark, it will be a historic achievement for Jimin as a solo artist.

The BTS member has shattered another record on Spotify with his solo single “Who”. As of last Friday, the song has surpassed 1.5 billion streams on the platform. He achieved this feat in a record-breaking 223 days since its release. This is the shortest time a K-pop artist has reached this milestone and the fifth-fastest in Spotify’s history.

Previously, “Who” tied with Harry Styles’ hit song “As It Was” as the fastest song by a male artist to hit 1 billion Spotify streams.

In addition, 2nd mini-album “MUSE” ranked on Billboard’s main album chart, Billboard 200 for 32 weeks.

Meanwhile, Jimin enlisted in the military in December 2023 as an active-duty soldier. He is set to be discharged in 3 months, on June 11.
