BTS Jin’s beloved 2021 single “Super Tuna” is getting an extended makeover.
On October 10, the 31-year-old singer went live on Weverse to announce the release of “Super Tuna” extended version.
He made a dramatic reveal, tearing away a decorative cover to unveil the new promotional poster. Jin also treated fans to an exclusive preview video of the upcoming song during the Weverse live.
He played the special MV, which will be released along with the song, for the fans. The “Astronaut” singer is most certainly setting the mood for his upcoming solo comeback, scheduled for this year.
He first sang the extended version of “Super Tuna” at the BTS Festa event on June 13. A day after his military discharge, he attended the BTS Festa event in person and entertained ARMYs with fun activities.
Originally dropped in 2021, “Super Tuna” was released as a special gift to fans on Jin’s birthday (December 4). Co-produced by Bumzu, the upbeat trot track features Jin dancing on a beach in its accompanying music video.
“Super Tuna” falls under the trot genre, a traditional Korean pop style distinguished by expressive vocal techniques and iconic 1960s-70s sound.
Since its release in 2021, the song has grabbed significant attention from worldwide fans with dance challenges and covers.
BTS’ Jin will release the “Super Tuna” Extended Version on all global music platforms tomorrow (October 11) at 1 PM KST.
