His life since then has been a whirlwind of activity, including appearances on variety shows, being chosen as a torchbearer for the Paris Olympics, and releasing his debut album.

Jin dropped 1st EP “Happy” in November last year, which debuted at No. 4 on Billboard 200. The 6-track album was also included in Billboard’s list of top 25 K-pop albums of 2024. The album became a million-seller in the first month, and the title song “Running Wild” entered at #53 on Billboard HOT 100.

The 32-year-old singer is set to drop another soulful album “Echo” before BTS’ reunion in June. All BTS members will complete military service in June and will reunite immediately for the 12th-anniversary festivities and group activities. As per reports from various media outlets and sources, BTS will drop an album after almost 3 years and embark on a tour to meet fans worldwide.

BTS Jin’s Second Mini-Album “Echo”

On April 14, NEWSEN exclusively reported that Jin is gearing up for a May comeback, which was later confirmed by BIGHIT MUSIC. BTS’ agency dropped the first teaser for “Echo” on April 15 at midnight.

This new solo comeback comes six months after his November 2024 release, “Happy.” Jin was the last BTS member to release an album as he enlisted in December 2022. Prior to enlistment, he gave fans a single, “Astronaut” in October 2022, co-written with Coldplay.

Now, he is gearing up for his second physical album release, and fans couldn’t be more thrilled.

Concept

For his first mini-album “Happy”, Jin invited fans to join him on a journey of self-discovery and happiness.

“Echo”, as described by BIGHIT MUSIC, “conveys universal life experiences and emotions through Jin’s unique and charming perspective.”The label added that he wishes to connect with his fans more frequently. This album will showcase his artistic growth as he builds his discography.

The teaser image hints at his bolder direction with phrases like “PLAY IT LOUD”, “BORN TO BE WILD”, and “ROCK YOUR HEART OUT”.
