Jungkook from BTS has added another accomplishment to his already impressive list.
On February 29, the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) announced that Jungkook’s hit single Seven and his solo song Euphoria from the team repackage album Love Yourself: Answer have both achieved platinum certification for surpassing 100 million streams.
The Recording Industry Association of Japan awards certifications on a monthly basis, depending on the total number of streams a song receives. These certifications are categorized as Diamond (over 500 million streams), Platinum (over 100 million streams), and Gold (over 50 million streams).
Jungkook’s debut solo album GOLDEN was awarded a gold disc certification in November of last year. Not only that, but it also achieved platinum certification in the music streaming category.
The song Telepathy from BTS released in 2020 has received a Gold certification in the streaming category. This achievement adds to BTS’ impressive collection of 39 Japan Record Association streaming ‘Gold’ songs.
Lastly, Jungkook’s Golden was ranked 14th on the IFPI’s Global Album Chart 2023. Moreover, his single Seven was in the Top 10 of Global Digital Singles by IFPI.
