Viewers of the hit K-drama Queen of Tears were treated to a surprise in the latest episode, as a well-known musical group was unexpectedly mentioned in a key scene.
Queen of Tears ep 15 which aired last night has left fans buzzing as it included a surprise nod to BTS. It also garnered the attention of ARMYs all around the world, who were excited to hear about their favorite K-pop group.
During the scene in Queen of Tear ep 15, when Haein (Kim Ji Won) was following Hyun Woo (Kim Soo Hyun with her secretary, Na Chae Yeon (Yoon Bomi), BTS was unexpectedly mentioned.
Haein’s secretary tells her about her first love saying, “You remind me of myself in the past, I was like you before I fell in love with BTS.” She went on to say, “True love isn’t ‘Gosh I love him so much,” and added, “it’s ‘what’s this? What’ this deal?’ that’s how it begins.”
In the past, Queen of Tears has been peppered with various nods to other K-pop and K-drama icons, such as Kim Soo Hyun’s character imitating Suzy’s signature flirty smile and a cameo appearance by Vincenzo.
Despite BTS members currently fulfilling mandatory military service, they’re staying connected with fans with back-to-back solo comebacks.
In addition, this is not the first time BTS was mentioned in a Kdrama, previously, the group was mentioned in the final episode of Marry My Husband.
Lastly, Queen of Tears last episode is scheduled to air today (April 28).
