BTS is keeping ARMYs on their toes with one bombshell announcement after another. After announcing a comeback date and massive world tour, they have revealed the album title for their upcoming 5th studio album.
The global supergroup BTS will return on March 20, 2026, with their fifth full-length album titled “ARIRANG.”
The album title was revealed at midnight on January 16 through BTS’s global fan community platform, Weverse. “ARIRANG” takes its name from Korea’s most well-known traditional folk song. By choosing this title, the seven-member group is placing a strong focus on their roots, identity, and the emotions they want to share with fans after a long break.
According to their agency, the album reflects where BTS started, the inner stories of the members, and the feelings they wish to express to ARMY. The group wanted to look back on their journey and reconnect with their Korean origins. The theme of longing, love, and deep emotion runs throughout the album.
“ARIRANG,” as previously announced, will include a total of 14 tracks. In addition, many of the song titles are inspired by traditional Korean folk music. The album will be released worldwide on March 20 at 1:00 PM KST, with pre-orders opening on January 16 at 11:00 AM KST. Fans can choose between different versions, including standard editions and special releases.
This comeback comes after a hiatus of more than three years, the most anticipated return in BTS’s career.
Alongside the album, BTS will launch a massive world tour named after the album, the “ARIRANG” World Tour. The tour will begin on April 9, 2026, at Goyang Stadium in South Korea and will continue through March 2027. In total, BTS will perform 79 concerts across 34 cities worldwide, setting a new record for the most concerts held by a K-pop act.
BTS will become the first Korean artists to headline major stadiums in the United States, including venues in El Paso, Foxborough, Arlington, and Baltimore. They will also perform with a large-scale 360-degree stage design to create a fully immersive experience for fans.
The tour schedule includes shows in South Korea, Japan, North America, Europe, Latin America, and more regions. Additional concerts in Japan, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Australia are expected to be announced later, as the tour is planned to expand further.
Mark your calendar for March 20 when “ARIRANG” will be available to stream.
