On January 29, when the teaser for Episode 26 of Suchwita was released, it came as a pleasant surprise to many fans to discover that SUGA and Lee Sung Kyung were actually friends.
On February 5, BTS’ rapper and the Dr. Romantic 3 actress spilled the beans on how they became friends.
They became friends through mutual musician friends and crossed paths at a gathering organized by producer Rocoberry.
SUGA met Sung Kyung while he was working on his album, D-2. At that time, he was feeling down because of COVID-19, album preparations, and the canceled performances.
During that time when all the planned activities for BTS were canceled, SUGA met Rocoberry and Lee Sung Kyung.
He shared, “Both he and you tried really hard to bring me back up to the surface. That’s what I felt at the time.”
Regarding their bond, Lee Sung Kyung shared, “You are not someone who lets people baby you and you find that awkward too.” To which SUGA replied saying that was the first time I was the maknae in a group.
Lee Sung Kyung went on to say, “That’s why we wanted you to know what that feels like. She added, “When your team releases something, we just want to build you up.”
The Call it Love actress continued, “You’re responsible in BTS, but to us, you’re not someone older, you’re just a baby, the youngest.”
Sung Kyung also expressed their group’s unwavering support for SUGA saying, “Whatever you do we’re okay with and you’re always supported no matter what.”
Fans were delighted to see the beautiful bond between SUGA and Lee Sung Kyung. It was heartwarming to witness genuine friendships in the spotlight!
