BTS’ SUGA has just accomplished something truly amazing, putting him in the same league as Taylor Swift. Both of them are now the ONLY artists to have three albums reach the number one spot on iTunes in a whopping 100 countries worldwide. The Haegeum singer is the only artist to join Taylor Swift to achieve this historic feat.
Four of Taylor Swift’s albums Reputation, 1989, Lover, and Speak Now debuted at No.1 on iTunes across 100 countries globally. SUGA aka AgustD has released three albums and broke many records. More recently, it was revealed that all three albums of AgustD debuted at No.1 on iTunes across 100 countries.
With this milestone, SUGA has joined the elite club with the likes of Taylor Swift. The albums of SUGA that topped the iTunes charts were D-2, D-Day, and AgustD. In his debut mixtape, AgustD (2016) shared his inner thoughts from his beginning to stardom.
His second mixtape, D-2 was released in 2020 with a title track, Daechwita. The title track became immensely popular and even debuted on the Billboard Hot 100. D-Day was the SUGA’s latest debut studio album released in April 2023. This milestone marks the completion of SUGA’s trilogy of mixtapes, building upon his previous releases.
After wrapping up his SUGA | AgustD Tour, SUGA is going to enlist soon and carry out his mandatory military duties.
